Grinding a stump produces a surprising volume of chip and soil. Plenty of outfits grind it, leave the pile sitting there and call it done. Clearing that off is part of the job here, because a mound of grindings is not a finished lawn.
Stump work is usually booked alongside a removal, which is the cheapest way to do it since the machine is already on site. It can be done on its own, including on stumps another company left behind.
